History of ICPAN:
April, 2009: Presidents of 4 leading associations meet in Washington DC to begin talks
June, 2009: Planning begins by email and teleconference calls
September, 2009: Site (Toronto) is chosen; Venue selected
October, 2009 - May, 2010: Committees organized, planning underway
July, 2010: Contract signed by 4 Associations; Hotel secured
August, 2010: International Conference for PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ICPAN) is now the official name! See: Official ICPAN Logo.
September, 2010: Call for Abstracts for Oral Presentations launched
October, 2010: ICPAN hits the CNA News: see attached copy of the "Network News" for this announcememt
November, 2010: ICPAN Website: NEW!!!: www.icpan.info
January, 2011: Call for Poster Abstracts launched. Exhibitors contacted for sponsorship.
February, 2011: Program content to be finalized. Registration form prepared for online registration. Exhibitor Prospectus completed and circulated.
March, 2011: Program finalized and published/posted on the ICPAN.info website. REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!
May 31, 2011: Deadline for Poster Abstract Submission
June-August, 2011: Registrations soaring, with delegates from 13 countries registered, nearing 400 in total!
September 28, 2011: Registration closed due to an overwhelming response and at capacity: 450 delegates!
October 2, 2011: Grand Opening of the Exhibitor's Hall: over 300 in attendance!
October 3-5, 2011: Presentations given by PeriAnesthesia Nurses from 8 countries, 474 in attendance!
